Brakes: Hill Holder question. 04-24-2015, 07:24 AM. Yesterday was at a stoplight with the front end facing down hill. When I released the brake pedal the hill holder was engaged, as soon as I started to release the clutch the brakes released the same way it works going uphill. I must be losing it as I can't see how this can happen knowing how.
